Ennai is a plant-dog, or "sprout", and also a British archaeologist and explorer. He spends his days traveling the world, learning about ancient civilizations and finding relics from days long gone. He thrives on not only learning, but teaching others about the way the world was many, many years ago. Ennai isn't particularly fond of humans, although there are a few he would consider a friend - reluctantly. He can come off as a bossy, surly know-it-all, but that's just because he doesn't have time to bother being polite! He's so busy, and has so much going on in his mind all the time that niceties fall to the wayside in favor of getting the information across to someone else and then getting back to work.
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Favorite Things: Learning new things, reading, exploring ancient tombs and other unknown, forgotten places, drinking tea.
History: Ennai's parents were both paleontologists, and it drove Ennai crazy! They were constantly studying dinosaurs and other ancient creatures, but never decided to dig in (pardon the pun) to the ancient civilizations that came after. All Ennai wanted to know was how the human civilizations got started, and when they first started interacting with dogs. He wanted proof, irrefutable proof, of when the first human and dog began their partnership - not out of a great love for humans, sort of the opposite! He wanted to prove that without dogs, humans wouldn't be where they are today.
Ennai would spend his days, while his parents dug for dinosaur fossils and the like, in their tent reading about archaeology - ancient humans such as the Egyptians and Greeks - trying to soak up as much information as he could. When he came of age, he left his parents and began his adventures, eventually becoming quite well-known in the field.
While Ennai is still in some contact with his parents, he resents them for holding him back in his younger years and trying to tell him his time would be wasted in archaeology. They always said all the great things had been discovered already, but Ennai always believed they were wrong. Someday he hopes to prove it!

SPECIAL: Ennai is a sprout, and in order to make him into the virile, dashing fellow he is today, I had to go through several interactions. Here are those interactions, so everyone can see where he came from!
This seed is shrouded in mystery. The unique designs on its hard exterior glow faintly. They are cool to the touch.
You chose to cut your seed in half! You must discover its secrets. The seed didn't seem to care, but its probably because you can't cut it in half! A strange magical like bond connects the two halves, and you are unable to cut it. They hold the seed open a few inches.
You chose to poke your seed with a pencil! You carefully take the pencil and poke the magical bond. Suddenly, the seed zaps up the pencil! It disappears in a cloud of smoke. When the smoke clears, you look down at your seed. It's markings are now different! They look like... WORDS! Maybe your seed wants to talk to you?
You chose to take a rubbing of the sprout's text to an expert, plucking the seed in your pocket just in case. You find a local expert of whatever this is and ask him for a translation.
"IS THIS SOME SORT OF JOKE?" the man yells, "did Bob set you up to this?! BOB GET IN HERE!" The man jumps out of his chair and storms off, yelling "BOB!".
A piece of paper flutters to the floor. You pick it up. It's the translation!
"Foolish human, get me out of here now! I ran off the old man before he figured out my text. It's MY text. Take me out of your pocket."
Your pocket begins violently shaking. You pull out the seed and with a loud bang, a basset hound appears! He seems quiet upset.
"Honestly human, must you do such strange things to my stone?"
"Your stone?" you ask.
"YES, MY STONE. I was trapped in the stone while investigating its strange magical properties. Thankfully you stuck a pencil in so I could send out a message. Though you were little help in getting me out of here, I must say."
"What did you say to that old man?"
"Must you ask such silly questions?" And with that your Sprout walks off.
